NovaSklo Announces Tender for ESIA Preparation

NovaSklo, Ukraine’s first high-tech float glass manufacturing plant, announces a tender for the preparation and execution of an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).

The ESIA is one of the key stages in the implementation of the project. We approach it with the same principles that guide the entire construction process: international standards, transparency, and responsibility at every stage.

What We Expect from the ESIA

The assessment must comply with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank and EU requirements, while fully taking into account Ukrainian legislation. For NovaSklo, it is essential that the ESIA ensures a high-quality assessment of the environmental and social impacts of a large-scale greenfield project and meets lenders’ requirements for project financing.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a consultant with proven experience in preparing ESIA documentation for industrial projects, who will:

• build a strong multidisciplinary team covering both environmental and social aspects;
• work in accordance with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Group requirements, and EU best practices;
• demonstrate successful experience in delivering truly “bankable” ESIA projects, rather than purely formal documentation;
• have experience operating in Ukraine or involve qualified local experts;
• provide a comprehensive and high-quality approach to impact assessment and stakeholder engagement.

• include brief information about the company and project team (number of employees, reservation status, in-house capabilities, subcontracted activities), as well as relevant ESIA experience and a portfolio of similar bankable projects. Please also confirm readiness to commence work on the project no later than early June 2026.
